LarpStuff.com started out as a small larp shop in the Fall of 2010. Owned and operated by Ryan Harden, the small shop sold many types of Larp weapons along with garb and accessories.
Here we are in 2010 hosting small Larp games. Ryan converted his race trailer into a mobile Larp shop and filled it with items that were needed by players and Larp hosts.
After lots of games, we started the Wisconsin Live Action Roleplayers Association which was dedicated to hosting LARP events and helping other hosts get started hosting games as well.
Eventually, the store grew to fill up that trailer which was used to host LOTS of Larp games. We started helping so many different hosts start games, we changed our name to LarpCraft and began hosting international LARP systems for all to enjoy. LarpCraft games were held in the USA, Iceland, Australia, Sweden, Puerto Rico, and Croatia to name a few! It was at this time we saw the need to start developing our own foam and leather products that we just couldn't get anywhere else.
In late 2011 we also had a brick and mortar storefront in Sheboygan, WI which we needed to make the foam products in a studio.
Our production designs were 3D printed and laser cut along with hand sculpted. We made and designed multiple products for clients in many different fields besides the Larp industry. We also got into metal casting for game coins, electrical components, and drinking vessels.
We designed all types of items and tested some things out, but the limited market and budget, along with overseas production of current things offered on the market, made for a challenging time to try and grow. Eventually, we ended up selling mostly arrowheads and a few small larp products like knives, spell orbs, and throwing stars.
Eventually hosting games, making products, having a family life, and running a full-time insurance business was too much for our family and friends. We began to slow down around 2017 and fully stopped production and hosting around the same time. It took a few years to get settled into a new area before larpcraft.com came back online in 2021. Since that time we've been building a new game system and getting back into production, hosting games, and marketing products. We're not real sure where this is all going, but we never got rid of our equipment, molds, or passion. Life is now at a place where LARP is once again possible. When we went to renew liveactionproducts.com we saw it was bought by a broker and is now thousands to regain. Instead of doing that, we changed our name to larpstuff.com which is now where the store lives.
